Seafret (uk) - koncert zrušený kapelou

Spevák Jack Sedman a gitarista Harry Draper sa spoznali v roku 2011 na hudobnej akcii v ich rodnom meste Bridlington. Ich vzájomné vystúpenia ich tak nadchli, že odvtedy spolu pracujú. Dnes majú na konte 3 štúdiové albumy a 5 EP-čiek. Na Slovensko prichádzajú v rámci tour k novému albumu, ktorý vyšiel v apríli 2023 a nesie názov Wonderland.

Táto nahrávka je vyvrcholením dvojročnej práce oboch členov kapely a dlhoročných priateľov. Je vznešeným dielom, ktoré vedie poslucháča príbehom kapely, od zlomeného srdca až po radosti z lásky a nového života. „Je to projekt, na ktorý sme najviac hrdí.“

Seafret si predstavili album ako príbeh temnoty, ktorá sa mení na svetlo. “Snažili sme sa nájsť rovnováhu na albume, takže sú tam niektoré piesne, ktoré sú o trápení a iné sú naozaj povznášajúce,” zdôrazňuje Draper. “Wonderland je album, kde vychádzame z našej komfortnej zóny a zisťujeme, že keď to robíme, ľudia milujú našu hudbu rovnako.”

Singer Jack Sedman and guitarist Harry Draper met in 2011 at an open mic in their hometown of Bridlington. They were so amazed by each other’s performances that they have been working together ever since. Today they have 3 studio albums and 5 EPs. They are coming to Slovakia as part of the tour for the new album, which was released in April 2023 and is called Wonderland.

This recording is the culmination of two years of work by both band members and longtime friends. It is a sublime piece that guides the listener through the band’s story, from heartbreak to the joys of love and new life. “It’s the project we’re most proud of,”

Seafret envisioned the album as a story of darkness turning into light. “We’ve tried to find a balance on the album, so there are some songs that are about heartbreak and others that are really uplifting,” Draper points out. Wonderland is us going out of our comfort zone a little bit, which has been amazing, and we find that when we do it, people love the music just as much.”
